Real Connections, Real Impact
Baleigh Hardman, Class of ‘28
“When I thought about having a mentor, I thought it was just a person to talk to when I needed advice about my major, but it’s so much more than that. Sinaya became someone I could confide in, a built-in friend, and a person I could trust to help me through my first year in college. She has helped me through more than just academics, but life.”
Sinaya Edwards, Class of ‘26
“Being a mentor was simultaneously fun and fulfilling! Seeing Baleigh excel has made me so proud. She has exceeded my expectations as a freshman and thinking about her accomplishments and new positions make me smile. I am so happy that we were connected through the Mentor Match program, and that I get to be included in her amazing story at Centenary.”

To become a mentor, a student must first demonstrate the ability to succeed inside and outside of the classroom at Centenary. After that, students may apply and interview to become a mentor if they have a recommendation and support from a faculty member.

You will have the opportunity to meet your mentor in person within the first two weeks of the Fall semester. After applying to the Mentor Match program, it takes time to pair you with the perfect mentor. Once you are paired, your mentor will reach out to you through your preferred contact method.
